U.S. National Deadline: January 9, 2026 – The DeSoto Artist Lab Residency Program is back and bigger than ever with our 5th annual artist residency opportunity!

We’re on the lookout for bold, brilliant, and passionate artists—from painters to poets, dancers to digital creators—to bring their talents to life right here in the heart of DeSoto. Whether you’re just starting out or have been creating for years, this is your chance to grow your craft, connect with the community, and make something amazing.

What’s in it for you?

From 1 to 6 months, you’ll dive into your artistic practice with full support—whether you’re a solo creator or part of a multi‑disciplinary team.

Budget

Awards for this program will range from $1,500 for a short‑term project‑based residency up to $10,000 for a longer residency performed over several months.

Eligibility

Emerging or professional artists who have a strong interest in engaging the community are eligible to apply. Artists working in all media are eligible. Preference is given to artists who live in DeSoto, Texas.
