This award-winning global news platform is looking for a highly motivated individual to lead audience growth at a time when people need independent news more than ever. As Head of Audience Development, you will lead and mentor a small group as well as be a strong presence on the leadership team. You’ll play a key role in turning casual followers into loyal supporters using digital fundraising and audience-driven revenue strategies.

It will be your responsibility to spearhead multi-platform engagement across YouTube, email, social media, and apps—while also driving revenue growth through audience-driven fundraising initiatives that you will work on with the Director of Development.

What’s it going to take to score an interview?

  • Strategic Leadership in Audience Growth: Proven track record in audience development, particularly in growing and engaging digital audiences across multiple platforms (email, apps, YouTube, social media platforms, Reddit, and websites). Experience in reaching the 18-34 age group audience is a major plus.
  • Expertise in Multi-Channel Campaign Management: Strong background in designing and executing digital campaigns using Google Ads, email marketing, splash pages, and native apps to drive audience engagement and fundraising.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to analyze audience behavior, create dashboards, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and optimize strategies based on data insights to maximize engagement and revenue.
  • Team Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience managing at least two direct reports and working cross-functionally.
  • Ability to Develop New Revenue Streams through Audience Engagement: Track record of successfully growing digital platform-based contributions; specific experience with YouTube is crucial.
