Line Supervisor – 2nd Shift (Audio Accessories)

OTTO Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Line Supervisor to manage operators on a 2nd‑shift manufacturing line that assembles audio accessories. The role focuses on achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Communicate work instructions and quality expectations to line operators.
• Motivate the team to meet quality, process, and ISO 9001 standards.
• Monitor labor efficiency and maintain 100% efficiency.
• Assure proper training and cross‑training of operators.
• Manage the line to minimize rework and control scrap.
• Maintain a safe, neat, and orderly work environment.
• Collect and manage SPC data and drive SPC efforts.
• Keep the production schedule current and communicate component shortages and work‑order issues to management and the materials group.
• Diagnose and correct line problems and support multiple projects.
• Implement lean manufacturing ideas and improve line flow and setup.
• Conduct annual performance appraisals and supervise line production schedules.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work overtime.
• Basic knowledge of ISO 9000 and SPC.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to differentiate between colors and learn personal computer use.
• Insufficient knowledge of inspection tools is required.
• Experience with continuous flow, lean manufacturing, and line supervision.

Benefits

• Target base salary: $50,000 – $58,000 (based on qualifications).
• Profit Sharing Bonus: distributed twice a year (not guaranteed).
• Vacation: 80 hours earned on the anniversary date.
