Thin Film Operator

Honeywell is seeking a Thin Film Operator (Assembler) to support kitting, inventory control, and operation of Thin Film processes. The role requires a day shift position (5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) and hands‑on use of microscopes, pick‑and‑place machines, hand tools, and staging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform kitting of substrates and small parts onto gel packs using tweezers and vacuum wands.
• Load and unload substrates from an automated pick‑and‑place machine.
• Physically count substrates and confirm quantities are accurate.
• Visually inspect kitted substrates and confirm the correct parts have been matched.
• Inspection may be performed under a microscope.
• Clean, stage, and organize substrates, gel packs, and waffle packs on staging shelves.
• Understand and follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Fill out logs and operation sheets.
• Run other Thin Film processes and machines as requested by the supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to use small hand‑tools such as tweezers and a microscope.
• Basic computer skills for time charging.
• Access to technology, materials, software or hardware controlled by U.S. export laws; eligibility must satisfy U.S. Person status under U.S. export laws or approval under a U.S. Government export license.

Preferred Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Detail‑oriented and able to perform basic calculations.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Team‑player capable of problem‑solving when process and quality issues arise.
