Role Description
SOM is looking for a Revit Content Developer as part of our design technology and BIM standards effort. Work directly with the BIM Standards Lead to create and refine the internal library of Revit families and details, ensuring consistent, efficient, high‑quality project delivery across the firm.
Position Responsibilities
- Strong understanding of Revit categories, families, and parameters.
- Assist in development of training materials for SOM's Architectural BIM standards and best practices.
- Work within enterprise BIM standards.
- Identify, plan, and develop innovative ideas/solutions to support BIM content development.
- Perform quality assurance testing of BIM‑related tools.
- Contribute to custom tool development and integration with BIM content within framework and infrastructure defined by Office of Technology.
- Identify and evaluate possible productivity gains with customization and automation.
- Keep informed of industry standards, trends, and developments related to BIM practices.
- Manage a collaborative relationship with Design Technology representatives, discipline subject matter experts, and other knowledge resources to ensure BIM standard assets and workflows are coordinated, integrated, and support project delivery goals.
Qualifications
- 0-5 years of experience with Revit content development.
- Experience with Revit is essential; additional experience in Dynamo and scripting is beneficial.
- Experience in imperial and metric Revit family development.
- Experience in Rhino, parametric and rendering software, Adobe Suite, and Google Workspace is beneficial.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills with proven experience in project planning and tracking.
- Exhibits initiative, process innovation, problem solving, and decision quality.
- Strong ability to prepare and present technical concepts and information clearly and succinctly.
- Proactively seeks out opportunities for professional growth.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Compensation
Based on experience, qualifications, and education, typically ranges from $60,000 to $80,000. Open to other North America locations; may vary by location.
