Clutch is looking for a highly conceptual Associate Creative Director, Copy for a premier pharmaceutical agency client of ours.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptual Leadership: Serve as the "big idea" driver on the copy side, developing innovative 360-degree campaigns that break through the clutter in the HCP space.
  • Scientific Storytelling: Masterfully translate complex data into compelling clinical narratives for high-science therapeutic areas, specifically Oncology, Rare Disease, and Neurology.
  • Launch Execution: Lead the copy development for major product launches, ensuring all tactics are strategically aligned and delivered with creative excellence.
  • Hands‑on Craft: Maintain a high level of personal output while overseeing the work of junior/mid-level writers, ensuring all copy is "on-brand" and medically accurate.
  • Client Presentation: Present work with confidence and conviction to medical and marketing stakeholders, defending creative choices with strategic rationale.
  • MLR Navigation: Partner with Art and Account teams to steer creative through the Medical, Legal, and Regulatory review process without losing the conceptual spark.

Qualifications

  • Pharma Agency Roots: Significant experience in a copy-heavy role within a healthcare/pharma advertising agency.
  • High‑Science Portfolio: Demonstrated success and deep comfort level working within Oncology, Neurology, or Rare Disease.
  • HCP Expertise: A strong understanding of how to communicate with specialists and physicians; you know how to talk "doctor‑to‑doctor."
  • Launch Experience: At least one major brand or indication launch under your belt, from initial concepting through tactic pull‑through.
  • Conceptual Prowess: A portfolio that shows more than just "headlines and body copy"—we are looking for integrated campaigns that showcase a unique creative perspective.
  • Leadership Ambition: Ready to step into a leadership role, mentoring direct reports and helping manage the creative workflow of the team.
