The Creative Designer creates new apparel graphic design concepts for screenprint and embroidery decoration for seasonal sales sample lines, sketch requests, special collections and sales presentations across our family of brands — Retail, Knights Apparel, Champion, GEAR, Comfort Wash and Under Armour. The role requires an understanding of current market trends and a broad aesthetic to design graphics for Men’s, Women’s and Youth Lifestyle and Performance markets.

Essential Duties

  • Responsible for new apparel graphic creative concepts for seasonal sales sample lines, sketch requests, special collections, collaborations, sales presentations, trend presentations and events according to standard protocol and systems.
  • Excellent creative design skills, color sense, trending skills, production skills and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Have a strong understanding of screen print, embroidery, special process and garment decoration production requirements.
  • Possess strong market knowledge per brand and division with whom the department collaborates.
  • Research current market trends in garment decoration processes, apparel graphic trends, apparel art locations & techniques, and develop new apparel art/technique concepts accordingly.
  • Review and comment on sales samples with overseas and domestic factories.
  • Work with Sales, Merchandising/Brand, and possibly clients directly. Present new apparel art concepts and engage in presentations multiple times per year.
  • Possible travel occasionally to work with internal partners, attend trade shows, retail trending and client presentations.
  • Must be able to react, respond and create very quickly in complex and fast‑paced situations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design/similar degree or equivalent industry related experience.
  • 1‑3 years of graphic design experience required.
  • Understanding of basic graphic art concepts such as composition, color relationships and balance.
  • Mastery of Macintosh computer and Adobe Creative Suite graphic design software.
  • Able to stay calm and collected when things go sideways.
  • Must be dependable and able to handle sensitive order corrections with care.
