THE OPPORTUNITY: Part‑Time Organic Social Content Creator

REPORTS TO: Co‑Founders

LOCATION: Los Angeles (Hybrid: in‑person + remote)

Tend is seeking a part‑time, LA‑based Organic Social Content Creator to collaborate closely with the founders to concept, film, edit, and publish organic social content. This role is highly collaborative and hands‑on, ideal for someone who enjoys building content systems and creative rhythms alongside founders in a fast‑moving startup.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with founders to develop organic social content ideas and creative direction
• Film on‑location in LA (founders, product, lifestyle, BTS) approximately weekly or biweekly
• Edit short‑form video content for Instagram, TikTok, and other organic channels
• Co‑own the organic social content calendar, including planning, scheduling, and posting
• Publish content natively and ensure consistency in cadence, tone, and visual style
• Stay current on organic social trends and platform best practices
• Repurpose content efficiently across formats and platforms

Experience / Requirements

• 2+ years of experience creating short‑form social content
• Strong portfolio showcasing organic‑first video content (Reels, TikTok)
• Comfortable filming people and products in natural, lifestyle‑style settings
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro, CapCut, and basic design tools
• Organized, reliable, and comfortable collaborating closely with founders
• Must be based in Los Angeles and available for regular in‑person shoots

Hours & Compensation

Variable hours, averaging ~6–8 hours per week, with flexibility to increase during high‑performing or high‑volume weeks.

$35–$50 per hour, depending on experience.
