Design Manager
Position Overview
The Design Manager will lead and oversee the design process for various construction projects, ensuring that all designs meet client specifications and adhere to industry standards. This role requires collaboration with architects, engineers, and construction teams to create innovative design solutions that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design team in creating comprehensive design plans for construction projects.
- Collaborate closely with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers.
- Ensure all designs comply with local regulations and industry standards.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
- Review and approve design documents, plans, and specifications before construction begins.
- Provide guidance and support to junior designers and team members.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate into design practices.
Qualifications
- Licensed Architect with a valid state certification in Nevada.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in design management within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials, especially in light industrial and commercial construction.
- Experience with CMAR (Construction Manager at Risk) projects preferred.
- Proficiency in Revit and other design software tools.
- Familiarity with tilt-up construction methods and distribution center design is a plus.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
