About The Role

As an Architectural Designer (Non‑Licensed) at HFG Architecture, specializing in healthcare projects, you will play an essential role in the architectural design process. Working under the supervision of licensed architects, you will contribute to the development of design concepts and assist in the creation of construction documents for healthcare facilities. Your creative design skills, technical proficiency, and attention to detail will contribute to the successful execution of architectural projects.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assist in the development of architectural design concepts for healthcare projects.
  • Collaborate with licensed architects and design teams to create innovative and functional design solutions that meet the project's vision, requirements, and industry standards.
  • Prepare architectural drawings and details, including plans, elevations, sections, and construction details, using computer‑aided design (CAD) software.
  • Create 3D models and visualizations of architectural designs using software such as Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools.
  • Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Familiarize yourself with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards, ensuring.
  • Research and select appropriate materials, finishes, and products for healthcare interiors.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including architects, engineers, and consultants, to integrate their designs and ensure coordination.
  • Assist in the preparation of design presentations and visual materials for client meetings, reviews, and presentations.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, advancements in architectural design, and emerging technologies.
  • Travel approximately 10‑15% for project‑related needs.

Qualifications

  • Vocational, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • Proficiency in computer‑aided design (CAD) software, such as ENSCAPE or Revit.
  • Experience with 3D modeling software and visualization tools is desirable.
  • Familiarity with architectural drafting, detailing, and construction documentation processes.
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards relevant to architectural design.
  • Strong design and visualization skills, effectively communicating design ideas using 2D and 3D representations.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in the preparation of architectural drawings and documentation.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, articulating design concepts and interacting with clients and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with sustainable design principles and practices is a plus.
  • Previous experience or coursework in healthcare architecture or a related field is preferred.
