Job Overview

The Digital Editor will help shape how our brand connects with audiences across digital platforms. This role calls for a creative, detail-oriented professional who can blend storytelling, design, and data to effectively drive engagement. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of digital content strategy, multimedia production, and the fast-paced rhythm of a sports and news environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and publish a minimum of 6 (six) daily high-quality multimedia content pieces per day, including short-form video, graphics, and written copy – comprising three (3) short-form content pieces (one customized for social platforms) and three (3) long-form pieces.
  • Design and produce six (6) daily thumbnail images using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools to support the required multimedia content created each day.
  • Adapt all creative content to meet platform-specific formats, best practices, and audience expectations.
  • Manage daily posting and scheduling across Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), TikTok, YouTube, and other relevant channels.
  • Stay current and monitor social trends, algorithm updates, and platform changes to continuously optimize engagement.
  • Track, analyze, and report performance metrics weekly to guide multimedia content and digital strategy decisions.
  • Maintain and update website and app content through WordPress or comparable CMS, with daily updates as aligned to digital strategy needs.
  • Ensure all digital content is accurate, timely, SEO-optimized, and aligned with a strong user experience.
  • Collaborate with editorial, technical, promotions, programming, sales, and on-air teams to support integrated digital initiatives.
  • Provide live event coverage through real-time posts, recaps, and multimedia storytelling – attending and covering events as needed, potentially multiple times per week based on digital strategy.
  • Uphold a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all digital platforms and campaign materials.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience creating and managing content across multiple social media platforms.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and comparable editing tools.
  • Proficiency with WordPress or similar content management systems and knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and live events as needed.
