Delta Galil’s product line includes intimate apparel, active wear, socks, kids & baby wear, and licensed brands such as Adidas, Wolford, Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger. The company focuses on high‑quality knit and sweater collections while expanding into wovens, denim, kids and accessories.

Position Overview

The Designer works directly with the founders to drive apparel product creation from concept through bulk production. This highly hands‑on role spans the full lifecycle—trend research, product development, sketching, fabric and trim sourcing, sample execution, fittings, and seasonal line development—with a strong focus on knits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with founders on seasonal product concepts, silhouettes and color stories aligned with the brand vision.
  • Research emerging trends in fabrics, yarns, textures, washes and finishes; translate them into commercially viable products.
  • Lead design development for knit and sweater categories, creating sketches, construction details, CADs, spec sheets and BOMs for overseas factories.
  • Create seasonal presentation boards, mood boards and line plans that communicate design direction across categories.
  • Partner with overseas offices to review samples, refine fit and construction, and update specs and BOMs.
  • Provide direction on fabric, color and print patterns and work with mills and vendors to develop custom fabrics, stitches, washes and finishes.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of apparel product design and development, with strong experience in knits and sweaters.
  • Knowledge of denim and woven construction; experience developing these categories is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of fabrication, fit, construction and factory execution across multiple categories.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency in hand‑rendered flat sketches and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Experience with Centric PLM is a plus; willingness to learn is required.

Category Expansion & Growth Opportunity

  • Short Term: Own and refine the core knit and sweater assortment, establishing consistent fit, fabrication and quality standards.
  • Mid Term: Support the introduction of denim and woven categories, collaborating with founders and external partners to develop new silhouettes, fabrics and washes.
  • Long Term: Become a key product leader across categories, helping shape future assortment strategy, supplier partnerships and category expansion as the brand scales.

This is a hybrid role, with four days in our New York, NY office.
