Under the supervision of the Security Services Lead, this role guards and protects university and library property, responds to incidents, and acts as a deterrent through routine patrols.

Responsibilities

• Guard and protect university and library property.
• Respond to and follow up on all incidents within library buildings.
• Act as a deterrent by routine patrols of library buildings.
• Work scheduled shifts: Sunday 12:45 p.m.–9:15 p.m.; Monday–Thursday 3:15 p.m.–12:15 a.m.; flexible day shifts as needed.
• Cover extended hours and consecutive days during the final week of instruction, including graveyard shifts.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current U.S. work authorization; we do not sponsor visas.
• Ability to comply with all university policies and collective bargaining agreements.
• Willingness to complete an incident report scenario during the interview.

Salary

Salary range: $21.34–$27.59 per hour; expected pay scale up to $26.01 per hour.
