About The Job

We are searching for a creative and collaborative music theorist who has an established record as an instructor at the University level.

Responsibilities

• Teach written music theory and all levels of aural skills courses for undergraduate students.
• Compose new works.
• Participate in departmental activities and curriculum development.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree (PhD, DMA, DM, etc.) in music theory or music composition required.
• Established record as an instructor at the university level.
• Demonstrated experience teaching written music theory and aural skills courses to undergraduates.
• Experience as a composer of new works is preferred.
