Music Licensing Coordinator / Publishing and Budget Project Manager

We are seeking an Executive Assistant with a knowledge and passion for music. The role is responsible for delivery and management of the music library to production teams, tracks and maintains the use of music across the company library, and completes and delivers cue sheets from productions to the Performance Rights Organizations.

Location: Secaucus, NJ

Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Hybrid: 3 days in office in Secaucus, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday; Tuesdays in NYC; Fridays remote)

Pay Rate: $28 per hour

Assignment Length: 12 months

Responsibilities

  • Work with the coordinating producer, supervising producer, and broadcast operations to deliver music for nightly live productions.
  • Ensure all production groups have access to music assets and receive proper training on the cloud music platform.
  • Maintain music assets for the on‑site team working with the producer/associate producer.
  • Collect, track, and submit music cue sheets, working with the internal Content Operations team to quality‑check accuracy against third‑party reporting.
  • Support the end‑to‑end music clearance workflow to ensure requests for commercial/popular music are executed for use across curated and original content.
  • Track and report music budgets at the direction of the Programming and Music Business Operations Lead.
  • Support coordinating producer, supervising producer, and broadcast operations during live production.
  • Recommend and create music playlists for themes and special projects.
  • Onboard and train production crew on accessing the music library.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a creative and/or music function in media, sports, or the music industry.
  • Diverse knowledge of various music genres.
  • Strong organization and project management skills.
  • Understanding of music workflow in a broadcast production environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, quickly changing environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours (days, nights, and weekends).
