Summary
SUNY Brockport is establishing a pool of applicants to fill potential part‑time adjunct faculty openings in the Department of Theatre and Music Studies. The position is responsible for teaching in the theatre or music studies programs.
Job Functions
- Teach academic and/or studio classes as scheduled (100%).
- Engage in experiential and hands‑on education.
- Infuse diversity issues as appropriate.
Non‑essential functions: Completes and submits assessment on classes taught.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Theatre, Music, or related discipline from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized institution, or commensurate professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with online instructional support platforms.
- Application of experiential and hands‑on practices in the discipline.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity through teaching, scholarship, or service.
- Prior teaching experience at the college level.
Additional Information
Work schedule: Variable.
Semester stipend $4,500 per 3‑credit course or equivalent. Benefits may be available.
