Coach (Prop 28): Music Tech: Winds - Santa Teresa High School
The East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD) seeks a skilled and passionate instrumental music coach to work with one or more of the district's high schools Marching Band programs. Throughout the production, the coach will work alongside the credentialed teacher at District High School, supporting students of varying skill levels. This role includes rehearsal preparation, instruction, and performance support at one or more school sites, contributing to a high‑quality production for a diverse student body.
Qualifications / Certifications
- Experience with teaching Marching technique
- Experience in Wind and/or Brass pedagogy, rehearsal planning and implementation
- Experience teaching high school‑aged students
- Experience teaching small and large group instruction
Must complete Edjoin online application, and submit Resume and Letters of Recommendation/Reference. Selected candidates must pass fingerprint clearance and provide current TB test results PRIOR to employment.

Key Tasks / Duties
- Assist teaching all aspects of Marching basics to all wood wind and brass members
- Assist in sectionals for woodwinds and/or brass members
- Attend and assist at rehearsals and performances as scheduled with the director
- Foster student creativity, discipline, and teamwork in a culturally responsive and inclusive environment
Seasonal Duties
- Marching Band: one season/production
- Winter Percussion: one season/production
