Position Overview

Jewish National Fund-USA seeks an enthusiastic, organized Social Media and PR Associate to coordinate a multi‑platform social media strategy, manage content scheduling, support creation, draft press releases, conduct PR interviews, and amplify the organization’s voice. The associate will report to the Director of Communications and partner with the Audience Development Analyst.

Location: NYC (in‑office, 5 days)

Reports to: Director of Communications

Key Responsibilities

Content Coordination

  • Coordinate and schedule engaging content across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and X (Twitter), aligning messaging with the internal strategy and style guide.
  • Support social video, graphics, and written post development that reflects the brand and mission.
  • Attend local events, capture behind‑the‑scenes content, and upload to platforms.
  • Upload IsraelCast episodes, webinars, Shorts, and videos to YouTube.
  • Use streaming software to host live feeds across multiple platforms.
  • Moderate comments and messages in a timely, positive manner.
  • Capture and post content during the Global Conference for Israel.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Collaborate closely with the Audience Development Analyst to target and engage key audiences.

Public Relations

  • Assist the PR team in writing engaging press releases about events, leadership announcements, and other newsworthy items.
  • Interview subject matter experts and help craft articles.
  • Pitch journalists and editors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, digital media, business, or related field – or equivalent experience.
  • 1–4 years of experience managing or creating social media content.
  • Familiarity with Meta Business Suite and other platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X, TikTok, LinkedIn).
  • Experience with content creation tools and streaming platforms.
  • Strong writer with wit and an ear for voice and tone.
  • Passion for Israel, Zionism, and digital storytelling.

Bonus Points If You

  • Have used Hootsuite, Restream, StreamYard, etc.
  • Are familiar with JNF-USA’s work and nonprofit communications.
  • Accept days off for Jewish holidays and U.S. holidays.
  • Prefer a 3 pm close of business on Fridays.
  • Seek expense reimbursement for mileage and donor meetings.

Compensation

$55,000–$65,000 (salaries vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications).
