About the Role

The Talent Manager will partner directly with People Business Partners and business stakeholders as a thought leader, trusted advisor and single point of contact for Talent Acquisition and key talent and HR initiatives. The role is accountable for building and executing end‑to‑end comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent aligned with business needs. It will support key talent initiatives inclusive of succession planning and internal mobility. The ideal candidate brings both strategic foresight and operational excellence, balancing long‑term planning with hands‑on execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a consultative partner to People Business Partners, business leaders, and hiring managers for talent-related strategies and initiatives.
  • Lead and manage the full‑cycle recruitment process from strategy to offer negotiation, ensuring a seamless candidate and stakeholder experience for assigned business groups.
  • Influence decisions regarding recruitment strategy, profile development, assessment methods, and final selection throughout the process.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to attract diverse and high‑caliber candidates, ensuring quality of hires while decreasing time to fill.
  • Build and maintain evergreen pipelines of internal and external talent for critical and emerging roles, anticipating future business needs.
  • Drive talent & succession planning annual calendar including Annual Talent Reviews, Talent Calibration, and Talent Talks.
  • Maintain the talent systems to ensure accurate data capture as part of talent processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Progressive experience and knowledge of talent acquisition, including recruiting strategy development, candidate sourcing, pipelining, stakeholder management, and assessment/selection.
  • Prior experience or exposure to HR aspects such as talent & performance management and HR business partnership.
  • Experience working in a matrixed or global organization.
  • Business acumen and organizational agility ideally in a retail fashion environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of recruiting techniques, assessment tools, and selection methodologies.
  • Strong attention to detail, high-level interpersonal skills, and ability to navigate sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Experience in online/social media recruiting and familiarity with AI tools and capabilities.
  • Strong customer service and negotiation skills, able to interact with employees at all levels.
  • Self-starter committed to ensuring an exemplary candidate experience that mirrors the RL brand and RL way.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe, Applicant Tracking Systems (Avature/Workday), and AI tools.
