Account Executive, Maverick Creative – Public Relations

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary client contact and manage day‑to‑day account activities and service delivery.
- Lead media relations, develop pitches, secure earned media, and manage media requests.
- Build and maintain relationships with national, regional, and online media, influencers, freelancers.
- Produce persuasive copy—press releases, pitches, Q&A, status reports—and edit releases, customer profiles, bylined pieces, and other materials.
- Proactively identify and solve operational issues for assigned programs.
- Lead monthly and annual reporting, showcasing client wins and key initiatives.
- Support new‑business proposals, brainstorming sessions, staff meetings, and ongoing knowledge‑sharing.
- Earnest tracking of news, market trends, and competitor activity to offer value‑added solutions.
Requirements
- 2–3 years’ experience in public relations, preferably travel or hospitality PR.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Proven track record pitching and securing stories in top‑tier consumer media outlets.
- Experience managing client programs, reports, and cross‑channel media (traditional, social, digital).
- Strong project‑management, communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with media‑tracking platforms such as Cision, Muck Rack and others.
- Valid passport and willingness to travel for work.
Compensation
$63,000 – $67,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
