Wizard of the Coast is looking for an Assistant PR Manager to help worldwide public relations and communication efforts for Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, and our rapidly growing portfolio of digital games. The assistant role partners with Senior PR staff, collaborates with regional teams, and supports presence at key video game and tabletop industry events.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist Senior PR Managers with daily publicity program responsibilities.
  • Support media relations strategies, including agency plans and special events, to secure press coverage across diverse outlets.
  • Coordinate press activity for product launches, fan events, press‑only previews, and brand publicity moments.
  • Help the brand communications team with administrative tasks such as product mailings, ordering products, maintaining a shared calendar of PR activity, opening purchase orders, drafting, editing and routing press materials, and monitoring media results.
  • Maintain ongoing timelines, campaign documentation, and work‑back schedules for PR and marketing activations.
  • Proactively manage tasks and timelines across internal collaborators and communicate blockers.
  • Ensure quality control for all press materials and accuracy before distribution.
  • Draft and refine messaging documents, Q&A briefings, press releases, media alerts, fact sheets, talking points, and other communications.
  • Manage review and approval workflows for messaging and materials across internal and external collaborators.
  • Support organization and scheduling of asset releases, key marketing beats, and media engagement moments.
  • Be available for real‑time collaboration via email, Slack, and Teams during agreed‑upon hours.
  • Attend recurring weekly calls and ad‑hoc calls as needed.
  • Produce data‑driven coverage and recap reports, highlighting outcomes, sentiment, and alignment with metrics.
  • Translate results into meaningful recommendations for next steps or optimization.
  • Highlight press coverage wins in weekly Hasbro press coverage reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with a focus in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 1‑3 years of progressive experience in a public relations agency or departmental setting, preferably supporting global initiatives in games or entertainment.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, stay organized, and multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits

The hourly rate for this position is $26.20 to $39.30. The hiring range will vary based on experience, skills, location, and market conditions. Employees may also be eligible for annual and long‑term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
