As a User Experience Designer, you will own the end‑to‑end design process, mentor team members, and collaborate closely with cross‑functional leaders to deliver impactful and cohesive user experiences across our product ecosystem.
Objectives
- Coordinate with User Research, Design, Engineering, and Product to define and implement product solutions.
- Use qualitative and quantitative data to inform designs, iterate, and measure the success of your solutions.
- Deliver appropriate and timely solutions that are grounded in empathy, data, and an understanding of what is technically possible.
- Communicate and foster alignment across company teams around design principles and approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic feature definition: Work with stakeholders and user research to define product features and goals, balancing business requirements with user needs.
- Analysis, synthesis, and ideation: Review product usage data and user feedback to understand user experiences; communicate findings through conceptual models, flowcharts, personas, storyboards, and scenarios.
- Wireframing, prototyping, and requirements definition: Design new products, interfaces, and user experiences for web and mobile; create wireframes, mockups, and detailed design specifications.
- Communication and alignment of design rationale: Act as the primary UX representative in strategic discussions; influence decisions with a user‑first perspective.
- Define and institute design systems and best practices: Drive quality and consistency of product design by defining standard practices, mentoring others, and holding teams accountable.
- Leading and mentoring: Align the team to the overall product vision; guide junior members with mentorship.
Qualifications
- 7‑10 years of experience designing and launching software products with seamless customer experiences in complex, fast‑paced environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human‑Computer Interaction, Information Design, Graphic Design, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Work strategically with stakeholders to define large pieces of work while delivering high quality mockups.
- Deep understanding of measuring product and customer success through design.
- Own development and maintenance of design systems.
- Outstanding communication and problem‑solving skills; awareness of latest trends.
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring designers and fostering team collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with partners across disciplines.
- Nice to have: Familiar with the social safety net and previous experience designing solutions for the space.
Salary
$136,000 – $170,000 a year
