Job Summary:

My Code is a culture media and marketing platform that connects cultural trends with business outcomes. They are seeking a Digital Entertainment Writer to create engaging content focusing on Latino and mainstream celebrity and music coverage, particularly in regional mexicano, targeting U.S. Hispanic audiences.

Responsibilities:

• Pitch, write, and publish daily stories on celebrities, music, and entertainment for our digital platforms.

• Monitor and report on trends using social media and data analytics tools.

• Conduct interviews in both English and Spanish.

• Produce content in multiple formats: text, images, video, and social posts.

• Collaborate closely with editors to develop content plans and real-time coverage.

• Ensure stories are accurate, well-sourced, and aligned with editorial standards.

• Contribute to long-form features and original multimedia pieces.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of newsroom experience, ideally covering entertainment or digital culture.

• Fully bilingual (English/Spanish) with excellent writing and editing skills in Spanish.

• Strong knowledge of U.S. Latino entertainment, celebrities, and music scenes.

• Comfortable using CMS platforms (WordPress preferred) and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Marfeel, etc.).

• Solid news judgment and awareness of the issues affecting Hispanic communities.

• Highly organized, deadline-driven, and collaborative.

• Able to work independently and manage multiple assignments.

• Advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in storytelling and workplace culture.

• Be a leader and embrace our team's core values: Culture First, Play Like a Team, Pave The Way, Care and Think Big.

Preferred:

• Experience producing multimedia content (photos, video, social media).
