Romanian Creative UI and Marketing Linguist

Welocalize invites experienced translators to join a global client’s team, translating and reviewing English content into Romanian for a music streaming company with additional entertainment services. The role focuses on UI, marketing, and product materials.

Project Details

Job Title: English into Romanian Creative UI and Marketing Senior Translator/Reviewer

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Remote (based in US or Canada or able to work in US hours)

Task Type: Translation, Copy Edit

Estimated work volume: 15 hours/week

Employment Type: Freelance

Main Duties

• Translate and review content from English into Romanian, ensuring the original meaning is conveyed in a readable, target‑audience‑appropriate manner.
• Handle content types including "Informational", "Legal", "Marketing", "Product", and "Support".
• Use the Smartling CAT tool.

Required Skills

• Minimum 3 years of translation and review experience in the specified subject matter.
• Proficiency in marketing, product, and informational translation.
• Experience with translation and terminology tools.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
• Proficient in Romanian and native fluency in the target language.
• Degree in linguistics, translation, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to follow instruction, including character limits and other constraints.
• Ability to explain the reasoning behind transcreation decisions.
• Technical knowledge of UI, CS, and creative content such as synopses and episodic titles.
