Job Description
Our client located just north of Providence, RI has an immediate opening for a Senior UX Designer to join their team. As a Senior UX Designer you will play a pivotal hands‑on role in shaping engaging, elegant, and impactful digital experiences across our platform. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to design user interfaces that both meet customer needs and align with our B2C and B2B business objectives.
Responsibilities
UX Product Design & Research
- Translate abstract ideas into initial wireframes, delivering high‑fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma.
- Apply systems thinking and design frameworks to create scalable, cohesive, visually appealing, and accessible user experiences across platforms and in alignment with our design system.
- Inform information architecture and interaction design using participatory and iterative techniques.
- Conduct user research including remote usability testing to uncover insights and validate design decisions, along with understanding best practices.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with designers, product managers, engineers, marketers, and business stakeholders to define and deliver new features that enhance our multi‑modal experiences.
- Ensure design intent is accurately implemented by working closely with development and QA teams.
- Balance user needs with business objectives and technical constraints. Mindfully incorporate feedback from users and internal teams to refine and evolve designs.
Design Ops & Brand Alignment
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of our Design System, style guides, and reusable components.
- Ensure visual and interaction design aligns with brand identity and accessibility standards.
Continuous Learning
- Stay current with UX trends, emerging AI technologies, and best practices.
- Embrace feedback and actively contribute to team knowledge‑sharing and growth.
Required
- 5-7+ years of experience as a UX Product Designer with a solid portfolio showcasing end‑to‑end UX and Product Design work, including prototyping.
- Strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of UX principles, human‑centered design, responsive design, and accessibility (WCAG) best practices.
- Proficient in Figma and prototyping tools; familiar with Adobe CC, Miro, user testing platforms and design systems. Experience with Storybook is a plus.
- Excellent communicator (visually, verbally, and in written communication) -- able to articulate design decisions clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences in person and remotely.
- Comfortable working in agile environments with project tools like Jira.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
- Strategic thinker and continuous learner passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation.
- Educational background in Design, HCI, or a related field preferred.
