American Baptist Churches USA (ABCUSA) is seeking an experienced Producer to lead the production, worship coordination, and audio-visual planning for the 2027 Biennial Mission Summit. This contracted role requires strong organizational skills, experience in event production, and the ability to collaborate with worship leaders, technical teams, musicians, and staff.

The Producer will oversee the creative, technical, and logistical elements of all plenary worship sessions, Mission Summit Conversations, workshops, and luncheon programs for the 2027 Biennial Mission Summit. This role includes developing run sheets, coordinating AV needs, selecting technical personnel, and supporting communications for all stage participants.

Duties and Primary Responsibilities

  • Plan and finalize all plenary worship sessions in collaboration with the liturgical team, Biennial Planning Team Chair, and General Secretary.
  • Communicate session themes and vision to speakers, musicians, worship leaders, and other participants.
  • Create and oversee run‑of‑show documents for plenary sessions and lead technical rehearsals.
  • Coordinate all audio‑visual needs and work closely with selected AV vendors.
  • Select and communicate with all worship participants, musicians, and vocalists; manage scheduling, media needs, and onsite logistics.
  • Assist with securing AV equipment for Mission Summit Conversations, workshops, and breakout rooms.
  • Coordinate translation needs with the Local Arrangements Committee (LAC) or a professional translation company.
  • Draft and manage RFP processes for AV needs in plenary, breakout, and luncheon spaces.
  • Support luncheon program leaders with AV coordination and recording needs.
  • Produce three promotional videos (2–3 minutes each) leading up to the Summit.
  • Participate in up to two site visits and one planning meeting.
  • Serve as liaison between liturgical, technical, worship, and production teams.
  • Manage call times, schedules, green room needs, and backstage coordination.
  • Ensure all production elements remain within budget and align with Summit goals.
  • Collect and create preroll slides for all plenary sessions.
  • Run and oversee production onsite during the event.

Experience

  • Experience in large‑scale event production or worship production.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of AV systems, run sheets, stage management, and worship/event flow.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
