Department Overview
GBH’s Forum Network is a public media service funded by the Lowell Institute. We document public speaking events, publish weekly videos, and collaborate with local organizations to bring public conversations to a broad audience.
Job Overview
We’re looking for a nimble, adept multimedia producer ready to produce online videos and social media content that will inform and excite our viewers. The ideal candidate will thrive in event planning, digital publishing, and video production, while meeting deadlines and driving digital growth goals.
Responsibilities
- Complete routine checklists for our coverage of events
- Work with partners to coordinate, produce and plan virtual and live events
- Ensure our video recordings are well‑produced
- Edit video footage and publish consistently to our YouTube channel and web pages
- Create and execute social media campaigns: spin recorded moments into engaging clips
- Manage media planning—from booking to closing paperwork
- Collaborate with other GBH departments to maintain event planning flow
- Keep our homepage and event calendar current
- Identify storylines and write for our subscriber newsletter
Skill Set
- Proficiency with video production and editing
- Solid writing and copyediting skills
- Proficiency and enthusiasm for social media publishing
- Strong problem‑solving skills in live event production
- Video animation and graphic design skills are a plus
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum four years of experience in digital media production or film production, with professional HD video shooting, editing, and digital publishing.
Job Specifics
One‑year contract position. Hybrid role with some evening hours. Requires on‑site presence at least two days per week.

Salary Range
$66,000 – $84,000. Compensation within this range depends on skills, experience, and internal pay equity.
