Compensation: $93,600 - $119,600 Annual Base Salary

Role Summary

Wave is seeking a Senior Producer to join the content team to lead a Celebrity, Lifestyle, and Pop Culture focused Wave Original. Overseeing the weekly development, pre‑production, production execution, on‑set management of talent and crew, post‑production, and delivery of full episodes, shorts, and custom branded content for Wave Originals.

Responsibilities

  • Brainstorm, ideate, pitch, and develop concepts, talent opportunities, and show beats on a weekly basis.
  • Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to secure approvals on concepts and run‑downs before greenlighting and shooting.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to manage ad reads and draft editorial and promotional copy.
  • Create and manage the weekly show rundown and production schedule.
  • Coordinate booking, rescheduling, and coordination of talent and guests for weekly shows.
  • Lead pre‑production planning meetings with talent, crew, and stakeholders.
  • Manage in‑studio production, set, crew, and vendors on shoot days.
  • Ensure quality and consistency of tone, branding, messaging, and content goals for each episode and throughout the season.
  • Virtually manage remote shoots via Riverside when necessary.
  • Support recording logistics, including setup and technical settings of recording software.
  • Direct and manage on‑screen talent.
  • Produce show extensions, including location‑filmed episodes and branded content, with travel as needed.
  • Upload all files after each episode’s taping.
  • Lead post‑taping production, social, and post‑production debrief meetings.
  • Provide story and edit notes on up to three rounds of cuts before locking the final episode.
  • Ideate and select images and assets for cutdowns of supplemental content derived from hero episodes.
  • Source and procure show assets, including submitting tickets for graphics and thumbnails.
  • Oversee programming and publishing of cutdowns and full episodes for YouTube and podcast channels daily.
  • Create compelling HED/DEK titles for YouTube and audio platforms, and draft timecodes for YouTube Shorts.
  • Participate in weekly forward‑planning and post‑mortem meetings; additional responsibilities may be added as determined by the EP.

Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge and passion in Celebrity, Lifestyle, and Pop Culture verticals.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience producing weekly podcasts or talk shows for a notable network.
  • Experience producing and managing high‑profile entertainment talent.
  • Detailed understanding of YouTube and audio podcast platform best practices.
  • Highly creative storyteller capable of writing, producing, managing, and executing projects from start to finish in a fast‑paced and flexible environment.
  • Proactive, able to anticipate obstacles and problem‑solve under pressure.
  • Strong experience organizing production workflows, assets, and talent schedules.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of digital media trends and how audiences consume content across platforms, focused on YouTube and social‑first content.
  • Strong experience working cross‑functionally with external teams and stakeholders to communicate and negotiate project needs.
  • Experience executing content for sales initiatives, custom branded content, on‑location shoots, and event activations.
  • Highly skilled in managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong physical production knowledge is a plus.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Capacity to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery and hardware.
  • The ability to communicate and exchange information clearly and accurately.
  • Work is sedentary and involves sitting for the majority of work hours.
  • Able to work full‑time M‑F and nights and weekends as needed.
  • Work is performed in a business office environment; worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
  • Worker may be exposed to variable lighting conditions and noise during production when in the office.
