Job Summary
Exciting Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant (contract to hire) opportunity with an established firm. This is a hybrid role with Tuesday-Thursday required onsite in San Francisco, CA. Must be eligible to work for any US employer without visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the day-to‑day leader for SFMC‑centric initiatives—focusing on campaign administration, strategy, and execution, not general Salesforce CRM solutions.
- Partner with marketing, engineering, data, and design teams to create, test, and deploy display advertising campaigns using SFMC Personalization.
- Guide the evolution and optimization of campaigns powered by SFMC Journey Builder, ensuring exceptional customer experiences across email and push channels.
- Work hand‑in‑hand with SFMC engineers to build new campaign templates and expand platform capabilities.
- Own Jira board activities and technical specifications related to SFMC functionality, ensuring campaigns launch smoothly and achieve targeted goals.
- Lead efforts for communication intake, aiming for seamless collaboration with Marketing to ensure requirements are clear and deliverables are met—stakeholder management (marketing) to help ensure campaign intake is working smoothly.
- Act as the platform expert for SFMC Personalization—driving best‑in‑class display advertising, campaign personalization, and targeted customer journeys.
- Collaborate with data, analytics, and product leaders to define and procure needed data attributes for new campaigns within SFMC.
Required Skills & Experience
- Direct, hands‑on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and particularly SFMC Personalization (formerly Evergage / Interaction Studio).
- Deep familiarity with SFMC Journey Builder and its role in managing email and push marketing campaigns.
- SFMC Administrator certification highly preferred; other Salesforce certifications (Service Cloud, Platform App Builder/Developer II) a plus.
- Strong communicator able to bridge technical and non‑technical teams, and simplify complex concepts for various audiences.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, multi‑project environment with a collaborative attitude and exceptional organization skills.
