As the Director of Sales and Marketing, you will lead the commercial strategy for the hotel, driving profit and positioning our brand as a market leader.
Responsibilities What will I be doing?
Produce your hotel’s Annual Multi‑Year Commercial Strategy Plan in partnership with on‑property leaders and regional support.
Connect the hotel’s performance needs with solutions designed by the Hilton enterprise across all key segments.
Direct accountability for setting and delivering revenues for group rooms, banquets, catering, business transient and leisure transient.
Work with Commercial Leadership to ensure that business review guidelines and pricing strategies maximize all pricing components of sales and catering, achieving positive group market share.
Support hotel B2B marketing, digital marketing, social media, public relations and communications activities; guide the e‑Commerce teams for accurate and effective online content.
Work with Commercial Leaders to establish an optimal business mix, validate revenue forecasts, develop strategies for demand periods, and approve retail and group pricing strategies.
Collaborate with Executive Committee members to maximize profits in line with GOP and EBITDA targets.
Develop and execute departmental expense budgets and forecasts.
Maintain detailed and real‑time knowledge of all competitor and market activity.
Execute the Sales and Catering Sales annual Incentive Program.
Lead weekly, monthly, and quarterly Sales & Marketing Optimization Process and convert outcomes into actionable strategies.
Contribute to annual Commercial Cadence communications regarding current performance realities and drivers.
Consistently meet Hilton brand standards and use all communication tools.
Recruit and retain all sales and marketing roles; conduct performance reviews; develop career plans.
Facilitate a culture aligned with Hilton’s DEI and ESG enterprise goals.
Own performance and commercial activity reporting for the hotel, including status communication and response plans.
Present commercial strategies to key partners and ownership groups, ensuring transparency and timeliness.
Liaise with Hilton Worldwide Sales, regional support and brand teams.
Build relationships with CVB, community influencers and third‑party travel partners.
Engage customers across all sales segments.
Support high‑impact site visits and pre‑convention meetings.
Support sales managers’ travel into feeder markets.
Qualifications What are we looking for?
Hotel Sales, Catering or Marketing experience.
Leadership management experience – at least two years in a Director‑level role.
Ability to travel.
Experience in hotel management or a related industry.
Highly professional oral and written presentation skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Ability to perform critical analysis.
Adaptable experience with business strategy, planning and business‑plan development.
Ability to speak multiple languages.
Experience across multiple brands.
