Position Overview
We’re looking for a hands‑on, detail‑oriented Marketing Automation Specialist to join our team. In this role, you’ll help drive last‑mile campaign delivery by building personalized and scalable experiences across email, messaging, and web touchpoints. You’ll own technical execution in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), including journey building, automation and end‑to‑end execution.
Key Responsibilities
Build and optimize multi‑step automation journeys in SFMC using Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, and Content Builder
Own dynamic content personalization using Movable Ink and SFMC scripting (AMPscript, SSJS)
Leverage knack for audience creation, logic set‑up, and governance across multiple channels
Manage and deploy splash pages for webinars, events, and landing‑page experiences
Implement web forms and tagging using basic front‑end skills (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)
Coordinate QA/testing across devices and platforms
Work with Salesforce Data Cloud to integrate real‑time audience insights and segmentation into campaign execution
Use SQL for audience segmentation, data extensions, and performance analysis within SFMC and external data environments
Partner with teams using tools like Highspot for content upload & measurement attribution and reporting, ensuring performance insights are integrated into future campaigns
Coordinate with cross‑functional partners (MarTech, Analytics, Creative) to manage timelines, requirements, and technical delivery
Ensure compliance with data governance, tagging standards, and campaign QA best practices
Required Qualifications
5‑7 years of hands‑on experience in SFMC, with deep knowledge of Journey Builder, AMPscript, SQL, and cross‑channel campaign execution
Strong working knowledge of Salesforce CRM and Salesforce Data Cloud for campaign targeting and personalization
Proficiency with Knack, including logic structuring and audience governance
Experience with Splash, Zoom, and dynamic content tools like Movable Ink and Highspot
Basic front‑end development skills (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) for building and troubleshooting content and forms
Familiarity with measurement and attribution platforms like Tableau
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with campaign analytics, tagging strategy, and funnel conversion metrics
Comfortable operating within a high‑performing, fast‑moving growth marketing team
Job Type & Location This is a contract position based out of San Francisco, CA.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 – $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
