Cookerly Public Relations, an award-winning independent integrated communications firm offering highly competitive compensation and benefits, is seeking an accomplished Social Media Director to lead and grow our social media practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned communications professional with deep expertise in social media and digital strategy, a proven ability to manage complex client accounts and a track record of delivering measurable results. We’re looking for a take-charge leader with strong writing, content creation and analytics skills, experience managing budgets, and a history of successfully driving client engagement and social campaigns. With an expanding client roster that includes many recognizable brands, this is a chance to make an immediate and visible difference. Key Responsibilities: Strategy and Execution: Develop high-level social media strategies and translate them into actionable plans. Execute campaigns, create content and manage accounts across platforms. Client Leadership: Serve as the primary social media point of contact for clients. Present strategies, provide performance updates and advise clients on opportunities to optimize engagement and reach. Provide proactive, strategic counsel to clients and agency leadership. Content Creation and Oversight: Produce engaging multimedia content – posts, stories, videos – aligned with client messaging, brand voice and campaign goals. Integration with PR and Marketing: Incorporate social media programs into clients’ PR and marketing strategies, ensuring campaigns complement broader communications efforts and brand objectives. In addition, drive the agency’s own brand awareness through social channels. Collaborate with internal teams to create cohesive campaigns for both clients and the agency. Analytics and Reporting: Track performance metrics, develop benchmarks and generate insights to demonstrate ROI. Review and report on campaign effectiveness and make recommendations for optimization. Community and Reputation Management: Monitor engagement and sentiment across client accounts, coordinating with staff on escalated issues or crises. Influencer Collaboration: Manage influencer or creator partnerships to support client campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and messaging. Paid Social Campaigns: Oversee paid social initiatives, including budget management, targeting, campaign setup and performance analysis, coordinating with internal or external media teams as needed. Trend Monitoring: Stay current with social media trends, platform updates and emerging tools including agency’s AI and monitoring tools, as well as new channels. Advise clients and agency on new opportunities. Business Development Support: Prepare marketing content for new business opportunities, including proposals, presentations and capabilities packages. Requirements: B.A. or B.S. in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field 5+ years of experience managing social media programs; agency experience preferred Experience developing, executing and measuring social media initiatives for Fortune 500 or recognizable brands Expertise across major platforms and new media channels (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, YouTube, Substack, Reddit, etc.) Proficiency with social media management and analytics tools Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong storytelling ability Ability to provide strategic counsel, manage multiple client accounts and deliver hands-on social media work Exemplary project and time management skills with strong attention to detail Comfortable working independently, taking full ownership of campaigns and guiding junior staff when needed What We Offer: Highly competitive salary and benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Opportunities for professional growth and development Dynamic and collaborative in-office agency culture Apply: Send resume and at least three samples of social media content in PDF format with SMD114 in the subject line to contactus@cookerly.com . #J-18808-Ljbffr
