Foxhole Technology is seeking a Business Analyst II/Tech Writer to support cyber sensing development and defense activities within a secure Department of Defense environment. This position offers valuable hands‑on experience across the DoDIN and multiple platforms and tools, making it ideal for candidates with a foundational understanding of IT operations and a strong interest in cybersecurity and system maintenance.
Job Description
Provide support to contract management and control planning, contract reporting, Technical Interchange Meetings, Technical Exchange Meetings, Transition Implementation Planning, and Risk Management.
Support governmental professional management, consulting and administrative service support for business functions involved in the internal programming and execution process.
Assist with the development of external project reports, which includes, but is not limited to, monthly program reviews, quarterly program assessments, and other reports related to project management.
Prepare executive reports and briefings for various projects.
Conduct and monitor data calls for various divisions and offices.
Provide deliverable tracking, review deliverables, and provide guidance for improvement.
Support data collection activities.
Analyze programmatic data; report findings and conduct process improvement evaluations.
Provide professional service support to the development of strategic guidance and internal procedures and policies for business and routine non‑technical operations.
Provide professional service support to assist with administrative functions, including, but not limited to: document preparation, scheduling, record keeping, recording minutes, after‑action reports, preparing travel orders, reserving government facility meeting space, office supply and inventory, preparing briefing packages, property control, information research and archival, data entry, project coordination, and control activities.
Provide technical expertise for the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of the deployed software and sensor systems.
Writes a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses.
Coordinates the display of graphics and the production of documents.
Ensures content is of high quality and conforms to standards.
Gather, translate, and compose technical information into clear, readable documents for use by both technical and non‑technical personnel.
Develop and maintain system, programming, security authorization, and operations documentation, procedures, and methods.
Produce workflows, design diagrams, and drawings at both the business level and SOP technical level.
Provide and coordinate documentation services and ensure the accuracy of technical documentation. Draft and finalize IT documentation, including technical specifications, user manuals, installation guides, and operating manuals in the style and format required by the task.
Support the program's SharePoint project site by designing, constructing the site using corporate standards, and managing all project documents in conjunction with the Program Manager (PM) and Configuration Manager.
Maintain the document library by updating documents and keeping track of version controls.
Manage and maintain documentation standards (processes and style standards).
Develop contractually required deliverables by working with the PM, Technical Lead, and developers and submit deliverables to customers per an agreed‑upon delivery schedule. Manage storage of all deliverables and keep track of the deliverable inspection memos from customers.
Meet with customer representatives, vendors, program management staff, or government/contractor/Subject Matter Experts (SME) to establish technical specifications, SOPs, workflows and other related program documentation as required.
Develop training material for the user community as new functionality is released.
Support the PM with meeting minutes, status reports and other tasks as requested.
Assist in the administration of project deliverables and provide editorial review for the final products.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst/Tech Writer.
Expertise in the development, operation, maintenance, and management of electronic business tools.
Experience in supporting the procurement process, including assistance with market research and research for various justifications, determinations, and findings.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
Basic MS Visio skill sets to create workflows and diagrams.
Ability to work on multiple documents under tight deadlines.
Highly organized, proactive, and collaborative.
Basic knowledge of managing operating systems, user permissions, and file structures.
Ability to follow structured processes and maintain clear documentation.
Strong interest in learning and contributing to a mission‑driven, security‑focused team.
Desired Experience/Certifications
BS Degree in a related field.
Familiarity with either Windows Server or Linux systems.
Knowledge of DevSecOps principles, automation, test integration, and scalable deployment architectures.
More Information The salary range for this position is $70,000–$78,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors as permitted by law.
