Senior Digital Product Designer
Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Must be willing/able to go on-site on a hybrid basis. Job type: Contract.
Description
Partner with design lead to plan, prioritize, and execute design activities.
Design digital interfaces, including dashboards, charts, and data visualizations.
Create prototypes to illustrate functionality for implementation.
Leverage Carrier’s digital design system to create stunning experiences with speed.
Ensure UI design is both strategically sound and aesthetically beautiful.
Communicate and document detailed design specifications to engineers.
Partner directly with scrum team to iterate design approach mid sprint.
Supports quality assurance during and after sprint to ensure design specs are implemented.
Maintains product level style guide and design library.
Mentors more junior product designers on team.
Oversees design system usage across product, advising on best practices.
Participates in user research and usability testing, in partnership with researchers.
Partner with product to prioritize new components based on product level needs.
Promotes coherence across our design system, and identify areas for improvements.

Collaborative team-player with experience working on agile scrum teams.
Passion for pixel-perfect visual design.
Interest in one or more practices like graphic design, illustration, branding, etc.
Expertise in the creation, application, and maintenance of design systems.
Ability to tactfully challenge the status quo through new thinking and inspiration.
Experience working on complex enterprise software development projects.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with an interdisciplinary structure.
Excellent visual and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Graphic Design, Human Computer Interaction).
+7-10 years of related work experience in-house or at a digital agency.
Deep understanding of how elements like color, typography, layout etc. influence user experience.
Past experience working on design systems.
Fluent in relevant design and prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, InVision, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite).
Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
Proven ability to create prototypes, wireframes, and other common UX artifacts.
Bonus: Experience working in a variety of organizations (start-up, corporate, agency).
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 – $75.00/hr.
