Castro County Nursing & Rehabilitation
is seeking an experienced and motivated
Admissions & Marketing Director
to lead census growth through strategic outreach, relationship-building, and exceptional admissions coordination. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who understands healthcare referrals, community engagement, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Drive facility census growth by increasing inquiries, expanding referral sources, and identifying unmet niche marketing opportunities within the community.
Conduct external sales calls and outreach to hospitals, physicians, senior organizations, managed care partners, and other community stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources by effectively communicating bed availability, services, and clinical capabilities.
Professionally manage intake information from referral sources, residents, and families with accuracy, knowledge, and courtesy.
Collaborate closely with the Administrator, Director of Nursing (DON), and Facility Controller to ensure timely and appropriate admission decisions.
Coordinate and train in-house staff to serve as primary and backup resources for inquiries, tours, admissions, and admissions documentation.
Maintain working knowledge of federal and state regulations, including Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement processes.
Track and analyze inquiry, admission, and census trends as part of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives.
Prepare and submit required reports, including:
Monthly Inquiry Summary Report
Daily inquiry logs and voicemail reports
Sales tracking reports for Regional Business Development Consultant, VP of Business Development, and Administrator
Maintain and update a database of medical professionals, community resources, and referral partners.
Stay informed of industry trends, legislative changes, and regulatory updates; communicate relevant information to facility leadership and staff.
Assist with the development of marketing materials, including brochures, advertisements, and press releases highlighting facility services.
Qualifications & Requirements
Sales, marketing, or community relations experience preferred.
Healthcare experience strongly preferred; clinical background (RN, LVN, EMT, or similar) is a plus.
Previous healthcare community sales or referral development experience preferred.
Strong understanding of reimbursement programs and payer sources (Medicare, Medicaid, managed care).
Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently; self-motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven.
Willingness and ability to travel within the community and surrounding areas.
Proficient computer skills appropriate to the position.
Formal sales training, adult education, or team-building experience preferred.
Knowledge of advertising, collateral development, and marketing design is a plus.
Professional demeanor with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
Reliable attendance, strong written and verbal communication skills, creativity, and confidence required.
Must be able to attend meetings, conduct presentations, and meet referral sources outside the facility.
Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
