Polar Tank Trailer
MUST BE US CITIZEN OR PERMANENT GREEN CARD HOLDER TO BE CONSIDERED
Position Summary Performs technical work to develop and design new products and refine existing product lines. Also creates drawings and bills of material for the production of tank trailers. This position will report to the local Engineering Supervisor. The position will require working individually and with teams.
Essential Functions
Assist senior engineers and operations with shop floor process and product improvements
Assist senior engineers with process improvements within the department
Understand DOT code and how to apply to tank trailers
Use CAD system to create models and drawings for parts and trailer sub systems
Create and manage items and BOMs in ERP system for parts and trailer sub systems
Read and decipher AutoCAD drawings.
Operate Inventor and Vault to create accurate drawings.
Requirements
Proficient in MS office applications (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong team player
Proactive person that works well independently to meet goals
Multi‑tasking: Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar from an accredited educational institution
Experience with 3D modeling software (Inventor preferred)
Some experience working in a manufacturing environment

Work Environment
The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.
For the most part, ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
Occasional exposure to manufacturing areas where certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as eye, hearing, and foot protection.
Physical Demands
Sit or stand as needed.
Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday.
Proper lifting techniques required.
Typing and sitting at a computer for long periods of time.
