What You’ll Do:

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of truss designers and drafters Oversee and review design work to ensure accuracy, code compliance, and manufacturability Collaborate with sales and production teams to review project specs, resolve issues, and streamline workflow Interpret architectural and structural plans to create truss layouts and component designs using MiTek (or similar software) Communicate with customers and builders to clarify design requirements and provide technical support Implement and maintain design standards, best practices, and software updates Manage department scheduling and workload to meet project deadlines Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities What You’ll Bring:

5+ years of experience in truss design, including floor and roof systems 1–2+ years in a leadership or management role preferred Proficiency in truss design software (e.g., MiTek, Alpine, or similar) Strong understanding of residential/light commercial construction and framing methods Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural blueprints Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills Problem‑solving mindset and attention to detail Bonus Points For:

Experience working in a manufacturing or lumberyard environment Knowledge of building codes and structural engineering basics MiTek Management/Engineering certifications Why Join Us?
