Location : 101 North First Avenue Suite 2600, Phoenix, AZ 85003, United States
Work Type : Hybrid – must live within 50 miles of Phoenix office; expected to be in office at least two days per week
Work Hours : 09:00 AM EST to 05:00 PM EST
Duration : 12‑month contract with possibility of extension
Workplace : Hybrid – office 2 days per week, remote otherwise. Relocation assistance may be provided.
Responsibilities
Develop 3D structural models based on verbal instructions or rough sketches
Produce complete sets of structural plans and details
Apply department and client standards consistently across models and documents
Take full ownership of assigned scope, meeting schedule and quality requirements
Verify completeness and accuracy of own work
Coordinate design efforts with related disciplines
Support team members by addressing their needs
Advance design automation skills and embrace emerging technologies
Review models and documents for quality and compliance
Provide leadership for small packages and guide a small team of designers
Coordinate team tasks, balance workloads, monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met, and uphold quality standards
Lead internal reviews and cross-discipline and external package reviews
Attend meetings and help resolve concerns and solve problems
Contribute to a collaborative team environment and uphold a Culture of Care
Transform engineering input into construction‑ready documentation aligned with departmental and client standards
Apply high precision in modeling and documentation, regularly reviewing own and others’ work
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Hybrid employment – must live within 50 miles of the Phoenix office and work in the office at least two days per week; reliable home internet is required.
Field walks may be required: climbing ladders, crawling under raised access floors, walking and standing for extended periods.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in Computer‑Aided Drafting or equivalent
Minimum 5 years drafting/design experience in the structural field
Minimum 3 years Revit experience
Strong interpersonal leadership and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
7 years drafting/design experience in the structural field
5 years Revit experience
Experience with SmartPlant and Tekla
Experience using Navisworks and Bluebeam
Experience designing traditional steel and concrete structures
Experience with general industrial facilities, preferably semiconductor‑related
