Overview Kimley-Horn is looking for a Marketing and Event Coordinator to join our Raleigh, North Carolina (NC) office. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

Work with Kimley-Horn conference attendees to coordinate engagement and effective participation and activities at national conferences

Understand business goals to prepare event activities in a way to maximize company ROI

Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop proposals for speaker presentations, white papers, project awards, and other marketing content

Liaise with industry organizations regarding upcoming events, partnership, and marketing opportunities

Write and edit content for intranet, external website, social media platforms, award submittals, and other channels as needed

Coordinate event-related needs such as registration and travel reservations, tracking RSVPs, ordering promotional materials, tracking deadlines, gathering information and images for the company website, researching and securing event venues, developing marketing materials, data entry, and other department activities, as needed

Partner with social media manager and web strategist to promote conference involvement (i.e. speakers, booths, awards) and other marketing activities

Manage projects independently and delegate tasks effectively

Partner with internal subject matter experts to identify industry news, topics, and trends

Collaborate with partners across the firm to elevate region‑specific content to entire firm

Write and edit content for intranet, external website, and social media platforms

Promote employee success and company culture through written storytelling

Edit and proofread materials for grammar, format, style, accuracy, and consistency

Support other communications department activities as needed

Qualifications

Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with people at all levels of the organization in person, via phone, email, and IM

Ability to manage organizational tasks, independently and through others

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficient in synthesizing clear actions and deliverables while working with multiple stakeholders

Demonstrated organization, detail‑orientation, and follow‑through skills

Proficiency with MS Office including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Ability to be flexible, including handling last‑minute or large‑scale requests

Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment with limited daily supervision

Exceptional client service mentality, strong work ethic, take‑charge attitude

Occasional travel will be required

Applicable four‑year degree

1+ years of relevant work experience in marketing or event coordination

Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments and deadlines concurrently

Strong attention to detail

Desired Qualifications

Experience in a corporate environment

Experience in event planning in a business setting

Experience working with remote teams

Proactive mindset to deliver exceptional results
