Duties Description This position requires a high degree of creativity and the ability to keep up with the constantly and rapidly evolving technology trends. Working with the Multimedia Manager, duties will include but are not limited to:

Leading video team on creative production ideation, collaborating on scripted and unscripted video ideas

Acting as liaison with video team in absence of Multimedia Manager

Pitching creative ideas for video content, both public-facing and internal

Helping to move video projects from concept development to delivery

Creating and reviewing preliminary scripts for multimedia productions where needed

Scheduling and coordinating dates with staff and talent where needed

Directing projects both scripted and non-scripted; interviewing subjects; helping coordinate shoots when leading project

Providing post-production feedback to creative team when asked

Providing technical support to junior video staff

Traveling throughout the state for live events, Commissioner coverage, and on-location shoots

Helping manage production gear inventory, monitoring team needs regarding equipment repairs and upgrades PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to initiate and maintain relationships across a diverse set of stakeholders. Expert-level knowledge of videography and post-production related to short form video storytelling and social content, including Adobe Creative Suite, lighting best practices, audio recording for video, color correction, and basic motion graphics. Experience with setting up audio for live events preferred. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Seven years of experience in one or more of the following assignment areas with a national network, local network television affiliate, cable news, commercial media production facility, marketing communications agency or related operation. College study in a related field may be substituted for up to four years of experience with 30 credit hours equaling one year of experience.

a) Engineering or newsroom technology specialist, master control operator, media ingest operator, and/or media data center operator; OR b) Production planner, production assistant, traffic coordinator, assistant account executive, or assignment editor; OR c) News videographer, studio camera operator, art director, copywriter, graphic designer, video editor, producer, or web designer; OR d) Broadcast engineer, uplink engineer, maintenance engineer, or broadcast systems integrationAdditional Comments Candidates with no previous state service will begin at the starting rate of the salary range listed above.
