WHAT YOU BRING
Prior experience as a producer in at least 2 newsrooms and confidence in a live news control room.
A sharp, conversational writing style and an ability to leverage process language that showcases journalists at work and the value they’re bringing viewers.
Able to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, managing deadline pressures and frequent changes.
Fast learning curve when it comes to new technology.
Multi-skilled in ways that stretch beyond the traditional role of “broadcast news producer” (shooting, editing, streaming, planning, etc).
Strong communicator and self-starter who puts the team first and works hard to ensure the product is high-quality.
Can blend good broadcast journalism with modern innovations in showcasing and content distribution that grow a station brand.
A strong sense of curiosity and an ability to find information on your own, verify the validity of sources, and communicate that information accurately to others.
Willingness to work outside of scheduled hours as breaking news or station efforts require.

Proficiency in multiple newsroom and digital content management systems.
A college degree in journalism.
