Communications Representative Senior

What You Will Be Doing As a Senior Communications Representative you will partner with business leaders, subject matter experts and peers to craft and implement internal communications plans to reach leaders and employees with key messages in support of business objectives. The role will lead internal content strategies for various organizations and initiatives, provide communications support for vice presidents and may also manage employee facing communication channels.
Key Responsibilities
Develop messaging and communications strategies in support of business objectives
Plan, write and publish/disseminate content across all internal channels (intranet, employee webcasts, email, video, etc.)
Create and implement executive communications and engagement plans
Collaborate with colleagues across the enterprise on various leader and employee communications initiatives
Evaluate metrics and identify insights to determine effectiveness
Create/refine communications processes to drive repeatable, effective results
Manage and execute additional projects as assigned

With strong organizational skills and a proactive mindset, you manage multiple projects with ease, deliver high‑quality work under tight deadlines, and contribute as both a trusted advisor and an energetic team player. Above all, you are passionate about shaping communication that inspires, informs, and drives meaningful connection across the organization.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of professional experience in the absence of a bachelor’s degree
Experience developing and executing strategic communications plans to reach employees
Experience writing and editing content across multiple channels in AP Style (key messages, talking points, articles, video scripts, emails, etc.)
Experience providing communications advice and coaching to senior leaders
Experience using communications tools such as a content management system and/or bulk email platform
Experience using communications metrics and analytics tools to measure impact and inform adjustments/improvements
Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
Desired Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field
Familiarity with aerospace and defense industry or other complex, technical industries
Able to perform effectively under competing priorities and tight deadlines
Creative thinking, active problem solver
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams and levels
Experience collaborating and influencing outcomes with stakeholders across the organization
Willing to learn and use AI and other tools, strong work ethic, and positive attitude

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
