Steam Anchor is looking for a few people to join our team!

We need applicants that are wanting the opportunity to serve the community in amazing ways by providing them with superior products and service and in an unmatched atmosphere. Steam Anchor is about brightening people's day just by how we serve! We are looking for outgoing personalities that are extremely hard working!

We are seeking people that have a semi-flexible schedule. Our shifts typically range from around 5am-11am and 11am-4pm, and 2 or 4-7pm. We are hiring for all shifts!

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve Steam Anchor beverages and food that meet their quality standards
• Properly handle and maintain all equipment
• Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner
• Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures
• Serve customers quickly and efficiently with excellence
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings
• Observe relevant health and safety standards

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Retail, hospitality, and/or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to read and speak English proficiently
• Strong ability to multi-task
• Basic mathematical skills
• Ability to problem solve quickly
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to follow directions

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• You must be able to be on your feet for full length of shifts.
• Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, twist, crouch, or reach while performing daily activities of the job.
• Must be able to handle the pressure of being very busy.
• Must be able to operate a computer or register.
• Must be able to use hands/arms to operate equipment, telephone and for repetitive motion activities.
• Must be able to lift/push objects up to 40lbs. on a regular basis.
• Must be able to communicate using speech, sight, and sound.
