Role Overview: We’re seeking a visionary Senior Designer to lead and inspire our design department. This role demands equal parts creative excellence and operational leadership. The right candidate will be a master of design with deep expertise in apparel, textile, and digital applications, and will bring a sharp eye for detail, a strong sense of organization, and the confidence to push ideas forward.


Operating in a fast-paced, dynamic, and fun environment, the Senior Designer will play a pivotal role in shaping our creative output, mentoring talent, streamlining processes, and ensuring that every piece of merchandise we produce exceeds expectations and resonates with fans.


Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain a network of top-tier freelance designers to widen our capabilities and support our internal creative team.
  • Lead the development of compelling design concept decks and professional CADs and mockups that bring client visions to life.
  • Oversee the creation of clear, precise tech packs for production across apparel, cut & sew, hard goods, packaging, and more.
  • Stay ahead of cultural and fashion trends to ensure our products remain innovative and market-relevant.
  • Partner closely with account management, production, and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution from initial concept through final delivery.
  • Act as a creative consultant to the account management team and clients directly when needed, providing expertise on production capabilities, print techniques, and design feasibility.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the design department, balancing multiple projects and team workloads.
  • Mentor and coach designers, fostering an environment that encourages growth, innovation, and accountability.
  • Champion process improvements to maximize efficiency, creativity, and consistency across teams.
  • Ensure all assets and deliverables are completed on time and in the correct formats, from concept through production.
  • Implement scalable systems and organizational strategies to drive long-term success for the design department and the company.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fashion design, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 5+ years of integrated design experience in the apparel industry or similar physical goods manufacturing
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator and Photoshop (3D CAD software a plus)
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and project management skills
  • Exemplary work ethic and a steadfast commitment to excellence in all aspects of the role
  • Deep knowledge of textile and production processes including screen printing, tie-dye, sublimation, embroidery, cut & sew, etc
  • Expertise in creating clean, highly-detailed, comprehensive Illustrator tech packs, particularly for cut & sew and printed apparel, that remain clear across language barriers
  • Knowledge of digital artwork separations for screen printing is preferred
  • Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

Pay Range:

$90,000 - $110,000 per year + benefits


The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
