In His Image Photo Studio captures joyful and meaningful moments for families in the Bloomington-Normal area. This holiday season, we’re bringing Santa and offering short digital sessions that deliver timeless memories.

Position Summary

We’re seeking a friendly, energetic individual who can both sell and execute holiday photo-sessions in a lively studio environment. In this dual role you will welcome guests, present packages, handle on-site sales and bookings, and also operate the camera and take photos of kids (and families) with Santa. You will ensure each family’s experience is smooth, fun, and memorable.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Service

• Greet arriving families and children, set a warm, festive tone.

• Present available session packages (e.g., digital poses, printed keepsakes) and upsell add-ons (prints, frames, etc.).

• Take payments, schedule bookings, record client information accurately.

• Encourage advanced bookings while accommodating walk-ins, as the service page notes walk-ins are welcome.

• Provide excellent customer experience: answer questions, assist with forms, guide families through the process.

Photography & Session Execution

• Set up the holiday photo-booth environment: props, lighting, Santa area, background.

• Operate digital camera and/or studio equipment, guide children and families into friendly, natural poses.

• Assist Santa and staff to keep children engaged, comfortable, and comfortable during the session.

• Deliver digital images and offer to help clients select print options.

• File, label and upload captured images to the correct channels (email, phone, etc.).

• Ensure the studio area is tidy, props and backdrops are maintained, and equipment is ready for the next session.

Qualifications & Skills

• Prior customer-facing sales or retail experience preferred; experience in photography or photo-studio setting a plus.

• Comfort working with children and families; ability to engage energetic kids in a friendly, patient way.

• Basic technical skills: familiarity with digital cameras, lighting, memory cards, file handling. Will train on studio-specific systems.

• Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal presence, positive attitude.

• Organized, detail-oriented, able to manage bookings, payments, and photo delivery.

• Availability during evenings/weekends over the holiday season (November through December) is critical.

• Must be able to stand for extended periods, move light equipment/props if needed, and work in a studio environment.

Working Conditions & Schedule

• Schedule will include busy periods around “Breakfast with Santa”, “Storytime with Santa”, and other seasonal events.

• Hours will include evenings and weekends; schedule will vary with bookings.

• The role is seasonal, but high-performers may be considered for extended employment beyond the holiday period.
