About the Job
In this role, you will own the Knowledge Management strategy and define the Source of Truth for AI‑first, accurate, and scaled support. Acting as a bridge between Vertical Experts and AI agents, you will structure tags and metadata to optimize LLM retrieval, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), and creator self‑service. You will partner with cross‑functional teams that build and manage the content corpus to define business requirements and best practices, translate complex vertical policies into machine‑readable frameworks, derive insights to close accuracy gaps, and design the information architecture that powers automated and guided creator workflows.
Responsibilities
- Establish and drive the overarching knowledge management strategy for support experiences and optimize content structures for Generative AI and RAG systems.
- Translate insights from Vertical Experts into structured taxonomy and metadata frameworks, ensuring AI agents can accurately retrieve and apply complex information.
- Define best practices and business requirements for scaled content journeys and internal knowledge bases, managing specific solution requests from internal cross‑functional partners.
- Be responsible for AI response accuracy by performing root‑cause analysis on hallucinations or failures, and managing content structuring updates to close gaps based on creator and agent needs.
- Partner directly with teams such as Scaled Comms and Education to navigate ambiguity and deliver content solutions globally.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in knowledge management, product management, or management consulting.
- 3 years of experience developing business strategies, working with executive stakeholders, or managing cross‑functional initiatives.
- Experience in GenAI development and design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of AI‑first content management systems, user experience for self‑serve, and taxonomy design best practices.
- Ability to effectively influence, communicate, and drive change with cross‑functional stakeholders at all levels of management.
- Proven track record of developing and deploying successful content management systems and strategies in a fluid, dynamic environment in a B2C company or at a consulting firm, within the media/internet/e‑commerce industries.
- Excellent business judgment, modeling, spreadsheet software, and presentation software skills.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Salary and Benefits
The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $110,000‑$157,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Learn more about benefits at Google.
