FEDERATION OF DIOCESAN LITURGICAL COMMISSIONS is hiring: Director of Music and C

Church of the Resurrection, a vibrant Roman Catholic parish of approximately 1,100 families, seeks a Director of Music and Communications. This position may be structured as full-time or part-time, with the parish’s primary need focused on leadership of the Music Ministry. Communications and technology responsibilities will be adjusted for a part-time role.

Primary Responsibilities – Music Ministry

• Provide keyboard accompaniment and musical leadership for all parish liturgies, including weekends, Holy Days, funerals, weddings, and special prayer services.
• Plan and prepare liturgical music and worship aids using both traditional and contemporary repertoire (Gather, 4th ed.).
• Recruit, rehearse, and support choirs, cantors, instrumentalists, and youth musicians.
• Manage the music budget, library, instruments, sound systems, and licensing (OneLicense).
• Coordinate the parish’s annual Music in a Sacred Space concert series.
• Collaborate with the pastor, staff, and parish leadership in support of vibrant liturgical worship.

Communications & Technology (Adjusted if Part-Time)

• Oversee livestreaming of liturgies and parish events.
• Coordinate parish communications across print and digital platforms, including bulletin, website, email, social media, and parish app.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in music or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong piano and organ skills with experience leading congregational singing.
• Knowledge of Roman Catholic liturgy.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, parish websites, and social media; graphic design and audio/video skills a plus.
