Account Executive - Solar Drafting Services
We are a growing solar drafting and design firm supporting residential and commercial solar installers nationwide. Our clients rely on us for highly accurate plan sets, fast turnaround times, and extremely low revision rates. We have built our business primarily through referrals and long‑term partnerships and are now expanding our outbound sales efforts to support continued growth.
About the Role This is a sales‑focused role centered on outbound prospecting and new account acquisition. You will actively reach out to solar installers and contractors through cold calling, email, and LinkedIn to introduce our services and generate new business. This position requires confidence with proactive outreach, leading sales conversations, and closing new accounts without relying on inbound leads. After closing, you will maintain communication with new clients during their first year to support onboarding, retention, and long‑term growth. You will work closely with leadership to refine outreach strategies and improve the overall sales process.
Responsibilities
Identify and engage prospective solar installers and contractors
Conduct outreach through calls, email, LinkedIn, etc.
Book and lead introductory and discovery calls
Present services, pricing, and value to prospective clients
Build and manage an active sales pipeline
Close new business and grow accounts over time
Maintain accurate CRM records and weekly activity updates
Maintain communication with clients after onboarding
Participate in regular sales and strategy meetings with leadership
Skills
2 to 3 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or outbound prospecting (preferred)
Familiarity with the solar industry or related construction, engineering, or technical services (preferred)
Demonstrated comfort with cold calling and proactive outbound outreach
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively while maintaining positive client relationships
Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and follow‑through skills
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Motivated by performance‑based compensation and building long‑term client relationships
Compensation
Base salary of $60,000
Commission on new business
Commission paid for the first 12 months of each new client relationship
Ongoing recurring commissions after year one
Uncapped earning potential
Work Location This is a fully remote, work‑from‑home position. Candidates located in Florida, particularly the Tampa Bay area, are strongly preferred to support occasional in‑person client meetings when needed. Some travel may be required for larger clients or industry events.
