SAIC has an immediate opening for a Lead Change Configuration Manager to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC).

This position is located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill AFB FL.

The role involves managing change, configuration, and asset management services for USSOCOM and its theater commands, ensuring network operations and infrastructure are maintained, providing end‑user support, and conducting training.

Responsibilities • Responsible for product design changes and the impacts on the overall system.

• Document and track all phases of system development and modifications.

• Ensure configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations.

• Prepare deviations and waivers for government approval when specifications cannot be met.

• Review all issued document change requests, document change notices, and associated drawings for accuracy, completeness, and proper signatures.

• Maintain and structure databases as needed.

• Submit engineering changes to customers for review and approval; maintain records and submit reports regarding status.

• Prepare configuration verification audit record sheets for all programs.

• Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and support of our IT infrastructure.

Qualifications

Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems; analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable and consistent with organizational objectives.

Works under general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

Contributes to completion of specific programs and projects. Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources.

Manages the deployment and configuration of Windows operating systems, applications, and software updates to client devices.

Maintains frequent inter‑organizational and outside customer contacts. Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.

Provides technical support to other IT teams and end‑users.

Maintains accurate and up‑to‑date documentation of work‑center specific tactics, techniques, and procedures, including configuration settings and troubleshooting procedures.

Shares knowledge and best practices with other IT teams and stakeholders.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations Certification version 4.0 and/or;

ITIL version 3 Release, Control, and Validation (RCV) Certification.

Prior experience with BMC Remedy IT Service Request Management System (ITSRM) version 9.x and/or Helix 20.x (desired).

Prior experience with BMC Remedy ITRSM Change Management Console (desired).

Prior experience with ServiceNow ITSM Standard and Change Management (desired).

Current CompTIA Security+ certification (desired).
