Description GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: The Branch Lending and Operations Representative is responsible for processing a wide range of financial transactions for customers, selling negotiable instruments, cross‑selling Bank products and suggesting possible services, answering questions, and handling all preparations for customers to begin receiving services. This position assists loan officers by performing administrative duties involving the processing of business and consumer loans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Open new accounts including checking, savings, CDs, IRAs and other products offered by the bank. (Daily, ~5% of time)

Responsible for opening all consumer and business accounts and services. (As needed, ~5% of time)

Prepare new loan requests to submit to loan processing, review the loan file to verify that data is complete and meets established standards. (Daily, ~5% of time)

Order supporting documentation. (Daily, ~5% of time)

Process draw requests / loan payments / transfers. (Daily, ~5% of time)

Prepare loan package for shipping and booking. (As needed, ~5% of time)

Assist with entering loan information into the loan origination system. (As needed, ~5% of time)

Track and monitor all required documentation. (Weekly, ~5% of time)

Close and fund loan. (As needed, ~5% of time)

Review completed LOM for accuracy. (Daily, ~5% of time)

Assist in clearing collateral / credit exceptions. (Daily, ~5% of time)

Submit LOM to loan ops. (Daily, ~5% of time)

Pull maturity and past‑due reports. (As needed, ~5% of time)

Refer new business to company subsidiaries, such as insurance, mortgage and brokerage. (As needed, ~5% of time)

Follow up on referrals made by other team members. (As needed, ~5% of time)

Assess customer needs and cross‑sell appropriate products and services. (As needed, ~5% of time)

Resolve customer concerns and ensure effective and long‑term problem resolution. (As needed, ~5% of time)

Provide ancillary services such as notary services. (As needed, ~5% of time)

Respond to customer inquiries relating to products, rates and services. (As needed, ~5% of time)

Support and contribute to the attainment of branch goals. (Daily, ~5% of time)

Manage telephone inquiries promptly and professionally to ensure friendly and efficient customer service. (Daily)

Maintain a positive, friendly and professional attitude and appearance. (Daily)

May be required to work an alternative location within the region or market. (As needed)

Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. (Daily)

Complete required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. (Quarterly)

Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and Experience Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Communication Skills Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person‑to‑person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization. Ability to read, analyze, and understand general business/company related articles and professional journals; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Critical Thinking Skills Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Software Skills Required Intermediate: 10‑Key, Accounting, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing. Basic: Alphanumeric Data Entry, Contact Management, Database.

Additional Information

1 year previous loan or loan documentation experience preferred.

Knowledge of consumer and commercial loan applications (DecisionPro and nCino)

Good understanding of financial institution products and services
